Dottie Design

100% handmade in England from upcycled & vintage fabrics - favours, placecards, table plans etc.
All my creations have been made from vintage and upcycled textiles. Sometimes I may add a little touch of the new eg ribbon or buttons but for the most part I like to re-use.
Vintage imagery is great for that individual touch perhaps an old photograph or postcard, I love to make each item as personal as possible!  Every creation is made with 100% love!

Before shots

Here are some quick 'before' snaps of the main rooms before the furniture goes in.  Almost there!  OK so they're not really 'before' photos, because I didn't take my camera when the builders started ripping out the guts of the manor house.  That was a couple of years ago, and I climbed to the first floor via a ladder with Katya. It looks so much bigger now with light pouring into it.  Look out for more photos soon.

About Old Down

Old Down Manor is a brand new wedding venue in South Gloucestershire, opening in October 2011. With a £5million pound investment, there has been no expense spared in creating a unique, boutique private country house hosting fairytale weddings on an exclusive basis along with special events. With weddings already booked in for 2011, 2012 and 2013, once complete we have no doubt that the venue will be hugely successful.

Raising Money for Cots for Tots

Our 'charity of choice' for this event will be Cots for Tots. This appeal aims to raise £1million towards 4 life-saving cots and a new intensive care Suite at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital Bristol. This appeal is close to my heart as my daughter spent her first two weeks at Southmead NICU, then at the Children's Hospital. Luckily she's fine, and even at the time, she was one of the bigger babies on the ward. Many of the others were premature, or in need of 24 hour care. It really must be scary for the parents and a great deal of work for the nurses and doctors. Therefore, I would like to give something back to them by way of thanks for their incredible work. I hope you'll join me in donating your time and money to this worthy cause. For more information, visit their website http://www.cotsfortots.org.uk. - Liz
