Tubbs Barbershop

The University of Barbershop Singers are an acapella group based at Bristol University. We have many barbershop quartets, male and female, that are available for hire, and always very well received at weddings.

Larger groups are also available - on request of one romantic groom, such a group once sang All You Need Is Love (Love Actually style) as the happy couple walked down the aisle!

Spring Fayre, 2012

As the first wedding fayre was so successful, we've decided to make them a regular fixture at Old Down. So, the next 'Vintage in the Park' wedding fayre will be on Sunday April 29th, 2012.  If you'd like any information, please don't hesitate to contact me via email or phone 01454 412835.

This time we'll add a marquee in the courtyard (courtesy of County Marquees) so we can fit more exhibitors in.  So, new people are most welcome to apply for stands.  Local suppliers will be given preference, as well as those offering vintage items or anything a little bit unusual.

Growing up in Gloucestershire based in the Cotswolds, Selinna was surrounded by fashion, History and the arts. During her Education in Fashion design, Selinna specialised in the cut and construction of women’s clothes. It wasn’t until undertaking a degree in costume design that Selinna fell in love with luxurious fabrics and print application of the bygone eras.

In early 2008 Selinna started making corsets for Brides to be, to wear underneath their dresses as underwear this Corsetry then led to wedding dresses which was the perfect combination of the intricate boning, fitting of the corset and indulging in her love of fabrics.

In 2009 Selinna won the prestigious Shell live wire “Grand Idea’s” award for her Silk screen printing and textiles applications this then led to the Birth of A’lissia Couture.
